IN THE FIRE, estreno en la 69ª edición del Taormina Film Festival, Sicilia
IN THE FIRE, película escrita y dirigida por Conor Allyn, se estrena en cines norteamericanos en otoño, pero antes tendrá su estreno mundial en la 69ª edición del Festival de Cine de Taormina, en Sicilia.
La proyección tendrá lugar el 24 de junio en el Teatro Antico a las 23h y estarán presentes tanto el director como sus dos protagonistas, Amber Heard y Eduardo Noriega.
Una doctora neoyorquina decide viajar hacia 1890 a una remota plantación en Colombia para visitar a un niño con extrañas habilidades. Cuando la doctora llega, la madre del niño ha fallecido, todos los habitantes del pueblo lo consideran poseído por el diablo y causante de todas sus desgracias. El mismo padre del pequeño ha empezado a pensar que quizá la gente tenga razón.
Producida por Paradox Studios, Angel Oaks Films y Iervolino and Lady Bacardi Entertainment, la película se rodó en Puglia, Italia, y Antigua, Guatemala, y será diatribuida en Italia por RS Productions.
A 38-year-old American doctor arrives to a remote farm in Colombia in the 1890’s after being called to solve the case of a disturbed child. She was called by the child’s mother, who was worried about the increasingly insistent accusations by the local priest and the farmers – tormented by mysterious adverse events – that the child is possessed by the Devil and the cause of every disgrace in town. When the doctor arrives, she discovers that the boy’s mother is dead and that the father himself has begun to believe in the possible possession and evilness of the child.
